2024 Fall Mites Game Schedule

Team:

• Team size averages 12-14 players per team.

The Game:

The Mites Division plays on a smaller soccer field with teams of 7 vs. 7, consisting of six field players and a goalie. This format optimizes the amount of ball 'touches' each player gets and is designed to familiarize players with the game of soccer and team building. Each quarter lasts 15 minutes. Coaches should ensure that all players receive equal playing time.

All games will be played at Kennedy Park. The club has 5 fields that will use the new 7v7 rule, including the use of the build-out line.

Time Commitment:

• One practice per week for one hour.
• One to two games per weekend, with most games played on Saturday. There may be games scheduled on Sunday to complete an 8-game season.

The Season:

The soccer season lasts 6-8 weeks, depending on the weather and holiday/school recess.

• Fall: Practices usually begin during the last week of August, with the season ending by the end of October.
• Spring: Practices usually begin in April (after school vacation), with the season ending by the end of June.

Equipment Needed:

• Size 4 soccer ball
• Shin guards
• Cleats
• Water bottle

Full uniforms, including a jersey, shorts, and socks, are provided for games.
